Last week, the parent company of OOCL said its affiliate’s fourth-quarter container shipping revenue soared 28 percent to $998 million from $779 million in the same quarter a year ago.
Other container shipping lines are also expected to report a surge in revenue for 2004, a year characterized by higher freight rates and steady increases in cargo volumes.
