Taiwanese carrier Evergreen may order ten new
containerships of 6000-TEU capacity from the Mitsubishi shipyard, according to
shipbuilding sources.
Evergreen said that it has been studying the potential order of five
6,000-TEU vessels, but would not comment further.
Evergreen is in the midst of building a series of 18 "U-type"
vessels of 5,364-TEU capacity, of which 10 have been delivered.
