Kuo, who will be headquartered in Taipei, takes over for Sun-san Lin, who was appointed to the new position of group vice chairman at Evergreen.
Kuo is a master mariner with more than 30 years at the Taiwanese shipping line. He helped establish Evergreen’s full container service between Asia and North America in the 1970s and between Asia and Europe in the 1980s. Kuo worked for Evergreen in America for 25 years, rising to president and executive vice president of Evergreen America Corp.
