EVERGREEN TERMINATES JAPAN/KOREA PACIFIC SERVICE    Evergreen Line will terminate its Korea/Japan/U.S. West Coast “KJW” loop, one its five Asia/U.S. West Coast weekly services, in July.
   The service has called at Los Angeles, Portland, Tokyo, Hakata, Busan, Yokkaichi, Shimizu, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Portland, using five 1,810-TEU containerships.
   Evergreen will continue to operate the Hong Kong/Taiwan/U.S. West Coast “HTW” service, the eastbound and westbound round-the-world service, the Trans-Pacific Northwest “TPN” service and the Trans-Pacific Southwest “TPS” service.
   A spokesman for Evergreen said that the all the ports currently called by the Korea/Japan/U.S. West Coast “KJW” service will be covered by its remaining transpacific services. Details of any adjustments to those services were not announced.
   The five ships of the Korea/Japan/U.S. West Coast “KJW” operation will be transferred to Evergreen’s new Asia/U.S. ast Coast all-water service, which starts later this month.
