Evergreen, Wan Hai boost Japan/Thailand capacity

Evergreen, Wan Hai boost Japan/Thailand capacity    Evergreen Marine Corp (Taiwan) Ltd. and Wan Hai Lines have launched a Japan-Thailand Express Service (NSE/NS6), a fixed-day weekly service linking ports in Japan with Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam and Thailand.
   Evergreen will commit two ships of about 900 TEUs to the new NSE/NS6 service, while Wan Hai Lines will commit a third vessel of the same size. Sailings will commence late September, when the first departure from Hong Kong will be made by the Evergreen vessel Uni-Ample.
   Ports of call on the 21-day rotation are Hong Kong, Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh, Laem Chabang, Hong Kong.
   The lines say the service will cater to increasing customer demand for cargo space, especially northbound from Thailand to Japan.
