Evergreen’s 4th-quarter earnings rise 59%
Evergreen Marine Corp. boosted its fourth quarter earnings 59 percent to T$2.8 billion ($88 million) after a rise in freight rates and strong exports from China, Reuters reported.
Reuters reported Evergreen as saying it is confident it will continue to enjoy profit growth this year, but added the additional ship capacity may hurt freight rates in the second half of 2006.
