Ex-Im Bank OKs grant to finance export to Israel

The Export-Import Bank of the United States has voted to guarantee a $44.8 million loan extended by G.E. International to Mashav Initiating and Development that will assist in the export of power-plant equipment to Israel.
The exports include one GE LM6000 PF Sprint gas-turbine generator set manufactured by GE Packaged Power and two Energy Chiller packages manufactured by TAS Services.
Mashav said it plans to use the equipment in the expansion of its power plant in Ramla, Israel, which is planned to be in operation by January.
The Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation, the export credit agency of the Czech Republic, is co-financing the transaction and is also re-insuring Ex-Im Bank for the purchase of other products. It is the bank’s largest transaction with EGAP.
