Singapore-based AAL, a breakbulk and heavy lift project cargo operator, appointed Marc Schutzbier to serve as commercial manager of its Canada operations. Schutzbier will be based in AAL’s Calgary office. He has over 11 years of international and local market experience working for Deugro.

The Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO), a Denmark-based international shipping association, revealed that Angus Frew, its secretary general and chief executive officer, will extend his contract to the end of 2022. BIMCO’s executive committee decided to ask Frew to continue in his leadership role for another five years during their November meeting. Frew’s main priority in 2018 will be environmental legislation.
