Executive Moves: Crowley, Fleet Advantage and CEVA

Crowley Maritime promotes new vice president of strategy, while Fleet Advantage expands the role of its chief technology officer and CEVA Logistics appoints country manager for Costa Rica.

Crowley Maritime Corp., Jacksonville, Fla., has promoted Eric Evans to vice president of strategy, a new position focused on mergers, acquisitions and other types of business partnerships aimed at growing the company’s portfolio.
Evans most recently served as vice president of finance and planning for several of the company’s business units.
Since 2013, Evans has worked to implement Crowley Petroleum Services’ strategic plan for growth and investment, resulting in the purchase of six tankers, the sale of two tankers, and the formation of several joint ventures, first with Aker Shipyard and then with a major oil company that evolved into a partnership with $1 billion in assets, including four tankers and three articulated tug barges.

Jim Griffin has added the role of chief operating officer to his responsibilities as chief technology officer at Fleet Advantage, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., company that analyzes unstructured data from onboard truck computers to analyze fleet and fuel use to optimize operational performance.

CEVA Logistics appointed Willie Parra Fonseca as country manager for Costa Rica. He will be based at the company’s San José office and report to Mike Wilson, SVP and head of the Central America cluster. Parra has experience in both project management and the design and implementation of distribution centers across Latin America.
