Executive Moves: Port of Long Beach and Virgin Atlantic Cargo

The Port of Long Beach gains new communications director, and Virgin Atlantic Cargo hires an account manager in Melbourne.    The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners selected Kerry Gerot as the Port of Long Beach‘s communications director, effective Aug. 19. Gerot is currently the public affairs officer for the Long Beach City Manager’s Office. Prior to that, she served in similar capacity at the Long Beach Airport and held various other positions as a media and marketing professional in the entertainment, music and publishing fields.

   Virgin Atlantic Cargo, the cargo division of British airline Virgin Atlantic, has hired Jarrod Paterson as account manager – Melbourne. Paterson joins Virgin Atlantic after nearly four years with GSA Australia Cargo, most recently as the station manager for Victoria.
