   project44 has hired Mike Reed as its chief strategy officer. Reed was formerly senior vice president at Echo Global Logistics.

   Crowley Maritime Corp. has appointed Paul Manzi as vice president of safety, security, quality and environmental stewardship, effective July 1. Manzi is replacing Charlie Nalen, who is retiring after 36 years of service with Crowley. Manzi joined Crowley last year as director of health and safety, and has over 36 years of experience in the maritime industry. Prior to joining Crowley, he served in various health, safety and environmental roles with BP.

   The Little Rock Port Authority board of directors has elected Dexter Doyne to the position of chair. This will be Doyne’s second year in the position, and he will serve in this role until June 2018. Doyne was appointed to the Little Rock Port Authority in the summer of 2010. In 1983, he began his construction business, Doyne Construction Company, and in addition to being president of the company, he is the general manager of the Doyne Family Real Estate Partnership.

   The port authority’s board of directors also elected Melissa Hendricks to serve again as vice-chair, while Frank Scott, Jr. was elected again as the board’s treasurer.
