Redwood Logistics names senior vice president of strategic sales, while Reading & Northern Railroad hires SVP of coal, Port of New Orleans adds a board member and CenterPoint Properties appoints marketing director.


   Redwood Logistics
has named Erin Breen senior vice president of strategic sales. Previously the senior director of business development for Redwood’s supply chain solutions service, Breen will lead the company’s newly created corporate strategic sales team.

   Regional short line Reading & Northern Railroad has hired William (Bill) Clark as senior vice president of coal.
   Clark joins Reading & Northern from Talen Energy (formerly PPL), where he managed logistics, coal purchasing and the oversight of a fleet of over 2,000 rail cars serving four power plants. Prior to joining Talen/PPL, he spent 14 years in the coal business group at Norfolk Southern Railroad.

   Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards has selected Darryl D. Berger to join the Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans as a board member. Berger, who succeeds Scott Cooper, will serve a five-year term as one of the seven members of the board.
   He is founder and president of New Orleans-based real estate development firm The Berger Company Inc. and currently serves as chairman of the New Orleans Tourism and Marketing Corp., as well as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau.

   Industrial real estate development company CenterPoint Properties has appointed Christine Grant as marketing director. Grant comes to CenterPoint from JLL, where she was pursuit manager for the company’s global corporate solutions business line and held a number of marketing communications roles within CBRE’s Midwest and National divisions.
