Logistics provider A.N. Deringer has appointed Mark Hirzel Los Angeles district manager, with responsibility for customs brokerage and freight forwarding operations, customer support and strategic planning. Hirzel is president of the Los Angeles Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association and also sits on the supply chain optimization working group convened by the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach last year.
He previously worked 11 months for DHL Global Forwarding as a manager in the customs consulting practice and before that was director of global trade management for MIQ Logistics. During his career he has worked for YRC Logistics, Meico America and Tower Group.
