Executive Moves: Unique Logistics and Roanoke Insurance Group

Unique Logistics International appoints managing director of Unique Logistics International, Atlanta; and Roanoke Insurance Group Inc. names new president.    Unique Logistics International, an Atlanta-based freight forwarder with a primary global concentration in the Asia Pacific and United States, has appointed Claus Schensema to the newly-created role of managing director of Unique Logistics International, Atlanta. Before joining Unique Logistics, Schensema served as managing director with GAC Group in the United States and China.

   Roanoke Insurance Group Inc., a Schaumburg, Ill-based insurance and bond provider for trade and transportation, has named Karen Groff, executive vice president of operations, as president, effective Oct. 1, succeeding Bill Sterrett, who will remain as chairman. Groff has over 24 years of experience with Roanoke, and has held various management positions within the company’s regional sales and corporate offices.
