Executive Moves: UPS and ICAT Logistics

UPS names new chief information officer, while ICAT Logistics appoints chief growth officer.    UPS Inc. has promoted Juan R. Perez to chief information officer. He will replace Dave Barnes, who plans to retire June 30.
   Perez has been with UPS for 26 years, starting as an intern in Los Angeles. He spent the previous six years in Information Systems leadership roles ranging from supply chain solutions applications, to operational and customer resource management technologies, as well as overall coordination of IT activities for multiple regions around the world.
   Perez was actively involved in the design and implement of Package Flow Technology, which is used to facilitate driver scheduling and package delivery operations, as well as many technology-enabled web services for customers. He also worked on the team that developed the internal system used by UPS to optimize delivery routes for improved service and efficiency. 
   In 2013, Perez was recognized by Computerworld as a Premier 100 IT Leader.

   Elkridge, Md.-based ICAT Logistics has named Hann Livingston as chief growth officer. Livingston has 13 years of executive, sales, operations and marketing experience in the logistics industry.
