XPO Logistics has named Malcolm Wilson chief executive officer of XPO Logistics Europe. Wilson, who has over two decades of senior executive experience in the supply chain industry, most recently served as head of XPO’s logistics business in the United Kingdom and Europe. He previously spent eight years at Norbert Dentressangle – which XPO acquired in 2015 – where he led the logistics operations and was a member of the executive board.
Richard Cawston is succeeding Wilson as managing director-supply chain, Europe. Cawston has been with XPO Logistics Europe and Norbert Dentressangle for 13 years, most recently serving as managing director-supply chain, United Kingdom and Ireland.

Cloud-based transportation management system provider 3Gtms appointed Chris van der Harst to the new position of managing director, EMEA. A 30-year supply chain veteran with 20 years of global experience, van der Harst was most recently managing director, EMEA at Kinaxis. He has held similar positions at Descartes, G-Log and Kewill (now BluJay).

The board of directors of the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), a global trade association for shipowners, named Martin Cresswell, technical director of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association, as the new chairman of the ICS marine committee. Cresswell succeeds Peter Bond (Cyprus Shipping Chamber), who recently stepped down after four years of service as chairman of ICS’ principal technical committee.
