Executive Moves: ZIM, Kane Is Able and Singapore Shipping Association

ZIM names president and chief executive officer, Kane Is Able appoints senior vice president of sales and marketing, and the 21st Singapore Shipping Association introduces SSA Council 2017/2019.    ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. has named Eli Glickman president and chief executive officer, effective July 1, taking over from Rafi Danieli. From 2011 to 2015, Glickman served as CEO of the Israel Electric Corp., and prior to that, he was deputy CEO of Partner – Orange Communication and previously managed Partner Orange’s customer division. Glickman also served as CEO of logistics company Exel MPL from 2003 to 2005.

   Kane Is Able, Inc. has appointed Mark Johnson senior vice president of sales and marketing. Johnson will retain his current role as executive leader of Kane’s over-the-road transportation business. Johnson is a 30-plus year logistics industry veteran, with experience in operations, solutions design, strategic business development, product development and change management.

   The 21st Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) said the seven ordinary members nominated for the 2017.2019 council were returned. The seven members include Rene Piil Pedersen, managing director at A.P. Moller Singapore Pte Ltd; Esben Poulsson, chairman at Enesel Pte Ltd; Caroline Yang, executive director, legal, finance & safety at Hong Lam Marine Pte Ltd; Lim Sim Keat, managing director, transport logistics at IMC Shipping Co Pte Ltd; Katie Men, managing director at Iseaco Investment Pte Ltd; Shunichiro Mizukami, chairman & managing director at NYK Group South Asia Pte Ltd; and Lisa Teo, executive director, corporate development at Pacific International Lines (Pte) Ltd.
   A further five councilors were co-opted into the SSA Council (2017/2019), including Gina Lee-Wan, partner at Allen & Gledhill LLP; Lee Keng Mun, head of shipping (Asia) at HSH Nordbank AG, Singapore branch; Steen Brodsgaard Lund, vice president, regional manager, Southeast Asia and Pacific Maritime at DNV GL Singapore Pte Ltd; Capt. Mike Meade, CEO at M3 Marine Group Pte Ltd; and Ng Ee Ping, general manager at Kontiki Shipping Pte Ltd.
