EXEL OPENS CENTER IN SAUDI ARABIA
Global logistics provider Exel said it added a new distribution hub in Saudi Arabia to get closer to its customers and suppliers in that country as it continues to expand its presence in the Middle East.
The new facility is located in the new Dammam Re-export (Free) Zone. Exel will provide airfreight, warehousing, distribution, customs management and other integrated services. It is Exel’s third facility in the Kingdom, according to spokeswoman Emily Goehler. The other two are in the capital, Riyadh, and Jeddah.
The duty-free export zone in Dammam competes for international business with neighboring Dubai’s free trade zone in Jebel Ali.
