EXEL SELECTS GT NEXUS FOR STRATEGIC SEA FREIGHT TECHNOLOGY
Exel has selected GT Nexus Inc., as its solution provider for a Web-based technology initiative.
The arrangement will allow Exel to improve quality and timeliness, and streamline transaction processes for the company’s sea freight operations.
Exel, a global provider of supply chain management services, will deploy the GT Nexus shipment execution applications at three of its key ocean services operating stations — Hong Kong; Frankfurt, Germany; and Cleveland.
GT Nexus, based in Alameda, Calif., has a membership consisting of: APL, CP Ships, Crowley Liner Services, CSAV, Hanjin, Hyundai, “K” Line, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Senator Lines, Wan Hai, Yang Ming and the Zim Israel Navigation Co.
