Expeditors International of Washington Inc. reported record
third-quarter earnings of $17.84 million, an increase 25 percent from the
year-earlier quarter, on revenue of $406.14 million, up 40 percent.
Net revenue for the Seattle-based forwarder and customs broker rose 29
percent to $119.72 million. Operating income increased 27 percent to $28.40 million.
For the nine-month period ending Sept. 30, income rose 22 percent to
$40.59 million, on total revenue $1.02 billion, up 35 percent.
Net revenue for the January-September period increased 27 percent to $318.36
million, while operating income increased 24 percent to $51.29 million.
