Direct trailer movements to the Geis hub in Ejpovice, near Pilsen, will connect with the services provided by its three major subsidiaries, CargoExpress, CargoEvropa and Geis Logistics.
Through CargoExpress, F.S. Mackenzie will provide a complete domestic delivery service and transport of individual shipments using a hub-and-spoke system. Geis operates full truckloads around the Czech Republic.
Through CargoEvropa, Geis operates international road transport, air freight and ocean freight services. In addition, Geis Logistics offers full logistics operations including contractual, manufacturing and distribution logistics, consulting and packing.
'The partnership further enhances the network of freight and logistics services we offer to importers and exporters trading between the U.K. and markets in Eastern Europe,' said Alfred Stienen, F.S. Mackenzie's managing director.
The Geis group has annual turnover of more than $300 million in the Czech Republic, and has more than 1,700 staff at some 47 locations around the country, handling 1.8 million tons of goods each year.
