Famous Pacific starts Europe/Africa service
Famous Pacific Shipping, the non-vessel-operating common carrier and freight forwarder, has started a weekly ocean cargo service between Rotterdam and Durban, South Africa.
Shipments are consolidated at the facilities of two affiliates — FPS Rotterdam and FPS South Africa.
“Offering a 22-day transit time from Rotterdam to Durban, the new service is very competitive and can be used as a very effective gateway operation for cargo originating or destined in South and Central Africa, as well as the Indian Ocean islands,” said Jacqui Downing, managing director of FPS South Africa, in a statement.
