FARRELL LINES SHUFFLES NORTH AMERICAN OPERATIONS, SALES MANAGEMENT    Farrell Lines said it has made management changes to its operations and sales departments in New York.
   Edward R. Morgan has been promoted to senior vice president of corporate operations. In addition to responsibility for vessel operations and equipment, Morgan also will be responsible for North American ports, documentation and transportation. He reports to Richard F. Gronda, president of Farrell.
   Thomas H. McCarthy has been appointed vice president of vessel operations, and James Caffaro as general manager of documentation and intermodal services. Both will report to Morgan.
   David R. Kirby, general manager of North America operations, who oversees Farrell’s U.S. port offices and agents in Port Elizabeth, N.J.; Norfolk; Baltimore; Charleston; and Chicago, will also manage the U.S. maintenance and repair program.
   James Madden has been appointed vice president of government relations and preference cargo. In addition to his work with former Soviet Union country markets and marketing management of U.S.-government-sponsored cargo, he serves as the carrier’s Washington representative.
   James P. Cassidy has been promoted to vice president of North American sales and marketing. His duties cover the carrier’s North American customer service. He reports to James E. Bambrick, executive vice president of Farrell.
   Charles W. Boyle, Farrell’s director of strategic marketing, assumes additional responsibility of corporate booking control, vessel scheduling and stowage, and pricing.
   Walter Lebenz, has been named general manager of booking and vessel. He is responsible for the carrier’s corporate booking, tracing, stowage and scheduling. He reports to Boyle.
