FCBF offering first Tampa seminar In a first foray outside the traditional South Florida base of the Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association, the association is offering an educational seminar on customs compliance Nov. 6 in Tampa.
   The seminar, 'Customs and Regulatory Compliance for Importer, Brokers and Trade Professionals, will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tampa Port Authority building, 1101 Channelside Dr.
   The seminar is being moderated by Lenny Feldman, managing partner of the Miami office of the law firm Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg. Invited panelists include representatives from importers Rooms to Go, Disney World Parks, Vigo Foods, Chico's, and Darden Restaurants. There will also be representatives from Customs and Border Protections, the Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
   The keynote speaker at the luncheon will be former congressman Jim Davis of Tampa, who is now with the law firm Holland & Knight.
