FCBF program to focus on bills of lading

FCBF program to focus on bills of lading The Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association is offering a half-day educational program on 'The ABCs of Ocean Bills of Lading' Thursday, May 31 at the Miami Free Zone.
   The program will cover the information needed on ocean bills of lading for international commerce in order to minimize liability and maximize chances of prevailing in the event of any legal action.
   The program is designed for ocean freight forwarders, non-vessel-operating common carriers and ocean carriers, and will be presented by Edward Joffe from the law firm Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg. It is part of a series of educational programs organized by the FCBF using speakers from local law firms.
   Cost is $45 for FCBF members and $65 for non-members. The session will run from 9 a.m. until noon at the Free Zone, 2305 N.W. 107th Ave. in Doral.
