FCS offers help to AMS filers hurt by Katrina

Flagship Customs Services (FCS), which provides customs-related electronic communications links for its customers, said it will help Gulf Coast-area companies impacted by Hurricane Katrina with Automated Manifest System connections.

FCS president Bob Foley said a number of companies had contacted FCS because they could not complete AMS filings because their connection or their service provider's connection to AMS had not been functioning due to problems related to Hurricane Katrina.

Foley said FCS decided to waive all set-up fees for any company needing to switch service providers because of Katrina. In addition, any company that switches will have the option to switch back to their previous service provider and cancel their FCS services at any time with no penalty.

FCS, based in Silver Spring, Md., can be reached at (301) 562-7790 or by e-mail at [email protected].
