FDX Corp. and German software giant SAP have joined to develop a suite of
supply chain software solutions designed to allow one party to manage a company’s
entire logistics operation.
The FDX-SAP package will offer supply chain consulting provided by the FDX e
Supply-chain Services and FDX WorldWide Services groups; supply chain planning and
monitoring provided by SAP’s Advanced Planner and Optimizer supply chain software;
and execution and transportation management provided by FDX.
The new software suite marks an expansion of a development relationship
formed by FDX subsidiary Federal Express and SAP in 1997.
