Fed taps transport industry for advice The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta has named six public and private officials involved in freight movement, including two port directors, to its Advisory Council on Trade and Transportation. Members will serve two-year terms.
   The Advisory Council provides industry input on economic policy to the central bank’s Atlanta regional district. It meets twice per year.
   Members of the Advisory Council include:
   ' Gary LaGrange, chief executive officer, Port of New Orleans.
   ' Richard Wainio, CEO, Port of Tampa.
   ' Gail Cooper, Boyd Brothers Transportation Inc., a flatbed carrier based in Clayton, Ala.
   ' Reid Dove, president, AAA Cooper Transportation, a regional less-than-truckload carrier, Dothan, Ala.
   ' Clarence Gooden, chief commercial officer, CSX Corp., a major railroad based in Jacksonville, Fla.
   ' John Hourihan, Crowley Maritime, a Jacksonville-based provider of coastal vessel and barge transport, ocean towing, salvage and other services.
   ' Scott McWilliams, CEO of Ozburn-Hessey Logistics in Brentwood, Tenn.
