FedEx acquires Bongo International

The company has 2,000 retail clients in the U.S. and Europe that help it reach 200 countries around the globe.

   A day after announcing its acquisition of GENCO, FedEx said it had acquired Bongo International in order to bolster the integrator’s e-commerce offerings.
   Details of the transaction were not released. In a press release, FedEx said Bongo’s“technology and processes provide a comprehensive and integrated end-to-end solution that helps retailers and e-tailers grow by reaching international e-commerce consumers.”
   The company has 2,000 retail clients in the U.S. and Europe that help it reach 200 countries around the globe.
   “We anticipate global e-commerce to continue on a double digit growth trajectory,” said T. Michael Glenn, FedEx’s executive vice president of market development and corporate communications. “Bongo International’s end-to-end, cross-border enablement capabilities will greatly enhance the FedEx portfolio of global e-commerce solutions and provide customers with unmatched flexibility to establish and expand their international business and customer base.”
