FedEx Express extends air transport contract with USPS

The Memphis, Tenn.-based integrator’s airfreight subsidiary extended its contract for air transportation services with the United States Postal Service through Sept. 29, 2024, FedEx said in a statement.    FedEx Corp. subsidiary FedEx Express has extended its contract for air transportation services with the United States Postal Service (USPS) through Sept. 29, 2024, the company said in a statement.
   Under the agreement, FedEx Express provides airport-to-airport transportation of USPS Priority Mail Express and Priority Mail within the United States.
   The modified contract is expected to generate annual revenues of roughly $1.5 billion per year for FedEx Express.
   “We are pleased to be able to extend this agreement and to continue the outstanding service that FedEx Express has provided to the USPS for more than 16 years,” FedEx Corp. President and Chief Operating Officer David J. Bronczek said in a statement. “This contract provides USPS with the operational reliability and flexibility they have come to expect from FedEx.”
