FedEx forwarding arm opens three European offices

FedEx's freight forwarding division FedEx Trade Networks said Tuesday it has opened three new offices in Europe.

The new offices are in Rotterdam, Hamburg and Frankfurt and bring to 28 the number of offices the forwarder has opened in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America since 2008. It also has 60 offices in North America.

'Rotterdam is Europe's largest container port and enables significant intra-European and intra-continental trade,' the company said. 'Hamburg is strategically situated on the Elbe River shipping channel and is a vital transshipment center for cargo arriving from or destined for Asia. CargoCity Frankfurt is one of the world's top ten airports in terms of freight volume and has emerged as one of the world's top cargo hubs.'
