FEDEX GROUND PROMOTES HANDY TO KEY OPERATIONS POST
FedEx Ground, an operating unit of FedEx Corp., has promoted Steven W. Handy to senior vice president of operations planning and engineering and chief learning officer.
Handy, vice president of operations planning and engineering since 1996, will be responsible for planning and deploying automated material handling and sortation advancements and other technology-based systems used in FedEx Ground's network. He is also directed an $80-million new technology program, the company's largest non-facility investment.
He has been with the company since its inception in 1984 and has held various management positions in the operations department.
