FedEx opens first India forwarding offices
FedEx has opened its first freight forwarding office in India, Reuters reported last week.
The company has opened offices in Mumbai and Chennai as part of an expansion of its Trade Networks division. FedEx also opened offices in Brussels, Manchester, London and Mexico City. It has opened 22 such facilities since 2008. In 2009, the company opened facilities across China including Xiamen, Tianjin, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
The offices focus on traditional forwarding activities like customs brokerage, export documentation, cargo insurance and shipment visibility services.
