“This move will boost our sales and marketing capabilities in the growing LTL (less-than-truckload) market,” said Frederick Smith, FedEx Corp. chairman, president and chief executive officer.
FedEx said the two companies will continue to maintain separate operations to optimize service in their respective geographic markets, but will work closely with other FedEx companies to deliver a variety of transportation and supply-chain business solutions.
