FedEx Trade Networks has opened new offices, launched new freight forwarder services and created new alliances over the past few months to gain a greater marketshare in Latin America.
The company recently opened new locations in Rio de Janeiro and in Guadalajara and Monterrey, Mexico. FedEx Trade Networks’ latest strategic alliance bonds it with Brazilian forwarder Portlink Logística Multimodal Ltda. New services offered by FedEx operation include an air consolidation service between Brazil and Mexico.
“Trade volumes continue to increase in Latin America, and our expansion efforts provide customers with greater access to superior freight forwarding in these emerging markets,” Fred Schardt, FedEx Trade Networks’ president and chief executive officer, said in a statement. – Jon Ross
