Descartes Systems Group, a Waterloo, Canada-based company that provides cloud-based software for logistics businesses, has deployed its cloud MobileLink application to eliminate paperwork on Ferguson Enterprises’ systems.
Virginia-based Ferguson, which says it is largest wholesale distributor of residential and commercial plumbing supplies in the United States, said it has automated its proof-of-delivery process and now captures critical information related to customer service and operational productivity via the new system.
The company previously used Descartes’ Routing, Mobile and Telematics suite for its fleet operations, and said the mobile offering integrated easily with these products.
MobileLink is a GPS-based solution for managing pick-up and delivery operations, providing route sequences, status, driving instructions, proof-of-delivery, and a customizable data entry set.
