Brittin, it was announced last week, is to take over his new duties on Aug. 15. The organization had offered Fernandez what it called a “substantial continuing role” in the organization, but Fernandez has decided to leave TIACA instead. Fernandez had served as secretary general for nearly 15 years.
Brittin, a 33-year industry veteran, most recently served as the division director of air cargo for the U.S. Transportation Security Administration. He previously worked at BAX Global, Emery, Menlo Worldwide and Panalpina. – Jon Ross
