Financially speaking, Fix is in at Bellingham port    The Washington state Port of Bellingham has hired Rob Fix as the port authority's chief financial officer.
   Fix, a long-time financial veteran of the lodging and hospitality industry, fills the $107,000-a-year position vacated when John Carter left the port last year to become finance director for the city. Fix will start at the port on July 28.
   Prior to joining the port Fix served as partner and CFO for hotel management firm MTM Luxury Lodging and real estate management firm FST Asset Management, both based in Kirkland. Previously, Fix served as the director of finance for the Semiahmoo Hotel Co. and as a corporate financial analyst and controller with Red Lion Hotels.
