Fire aboard Norasia ship
The vessel “Norasia Taurus”, operated by Norasia Container Line, suffered a fire on a voyage to Damietta, Egypt.
The vessel is deployed on the joint weekly Asia/Mediterranean/Indian subcontinent/Asia Asia-Black Sea Service of Norasia and Hapag-Lloyd. Senator Lines and United Arab Shipping Co. both take space on the service.
According to Senator Lines the vessel arrived at Damietta and the fire brought under control. The vessel is on schedule, but a delay could not be excluded. The question of a general average declaration is also open, Senator Lines said.
