Fire guts top floors of Pakistan National Shipping CorpÆs HQ A raging fire gutted the top floors of national flag carrier Pakistan National Shipping Corp.'s headquarter building in Karachi on Sunday.
   According to local reports, the fire broke out at about 9:15 a.m. on the 11th floor of the PNSC Building, which housed the offices of National Engineering Services Pakistan. Firefighters brought the blaze under control after two hours and started to pack up before the fire erupted again and moved upwards, leaving them helpless as the fire engine hoses couldn't reach that high.
   No deaths have been reported as most of the building was unoccupied, but some people suffered burn injuries, and helicopters had to rescue six employees of a cellular phone company trapped on the roof.
   Reports said the fire was extinguished after 18 hours and PNSC said on its Web site that routine operations at the building are in progress.
