First seaport terminal awarded 360 Quality Code    The 360 Quality Association, an organization established in late 2006 to improve the handling of reefer cargo, said Wednesday that food logistics company Kloosterboer’s facility in Vlissingen (Flushing) in the Netherlands has become the first seaport terminal to be awarded with its 360 Quality Code.
   Kloosterboer concentrates its fruit related logistics activities at Vlissingen and recently took a 50 percent share in Rotterdam-based Seabrex, one of Europe’s biggest fruit handlers. Kloosterboer and Seabrex together handle about 1.2 million pallets of fruit and vegetables annually. The Vlissingen site comprises 27 hectares and approximately 140,000 square meters of storage space including capacity for 30,000 pallets of fruit.
   Inspection and certification of the terminal was conducted by ISACert, a Netherlands-based certification body.
   It is expected that further 15 to 20 seaport terminals worldwide will be certified this year. Until now 90 reefer vessels have been certified in accordance with the 360 Quality Code.
