Flextronics uses Amber Road for restricted party screening

   The electronics manufacturing services provider Flextronics has signed up with the global trade management solutions provider Amber Road to automate the screening of partners, customers and vendors.
   Flextronics will use Amber Road’s hosted, Web-based Restricted Party Screening (RPS) On-Demand application, with the objective of maintaining a low export risk profile while expediting screening.
   Flextronics’ supply chain includes more than 30 countries on four continents, with management deciding it needed an improved solution for global denied party and embargo screening, global export license determination, and Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) validation in order to preserve a high compliance rate.
   “Amber Road’s RPS On-Demand was the solution that best fit our needs,” said Tim Seitz, senior vice president of global tax and trade at Flextronics, in a statement. “Because of the solution’s high-speed processing times, accuracy rates, user configuration features, robust reporting, and audit capabilities, we feel confident that Amber Road is the right choice.”
   RPS On-Demand will support users globally and integrate with Flextronics’ ERP system. The solution will help simplify audit processes through maintaining a complete history of actions performed on a given customer or supplier record. In addition, automated alerts will allow users to focus on other tasks, while ensuring compliance. – Eric Johnson
