FLORIDA EAST COAST INDUSTRIES NAMES SMITH CFO
Richard G. Smith has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Florida East Coast Industries Inc., parent company of the Florida East Coast Railway Co.
Smith was vice president and CFO of American Business Products in Atlanta, and has 25 years' experience in finance, corporate development and strategy. Prior to American Business Products, he was CFO at Brambles Acquisitions Inc. and Environmental Systems Inc.
Besides FEC Railway, the railroad operating between Jacksonville and Miami, St. Augustine, Fla.-based Florida East Coast Industries owns International Transit Inc., a truckload service, intermodal drayage and transportation logistics and brokerage services operation.
