Flowers leads UPS’s global forwarding unit

Flowers leads UPSÆs global forwarding unit    UPS has named Stephen D. Flowers president of UPS Global Freight Forwarding.
   Flowers, formerly head of UPS's Americas Region, succeeds Ken Torok. He has worked at UPS for 30 years.
   In his new role, Flowers will be responsible for the global strategy, performance and revenue growth of the company's freight forwarding services.
   As president of the UPS Americas Region, Flowers oversaw all UPS package and cargo operations in Canada and more than 50 countries and territories across Latin America and the Caribbean. He managed several multimillion-dollar expansion projects throughout the region during his seven-year tenure.
   He also has experience in Europe, where he served as a district manager overseeing the company's operations in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
