FMC RECEIVES OTI APPLICATION, REVOKES NINE LICENSES

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received a non-vessel-operating common carrier (ocean transportation intermediary) license application from GSA Shipping in Gardena, Calif.

   Persons knowing of any reason why this applicant should not receive its OTI license are asked to contact the FMC’s Office of Transportation Intermediaries in Washington.

   In addition, the FMC has revoked the OTI licenses of nine firms for failure to maintain valid bonds, including Ambert Inc. of Oceanside, N.Y.; Binex Line Corp. in Long Beach, Calif.; Brian Leslie Steele of Columbus, Ohio; Maracargo in Miami; Puma Express of Wood Dale, Ill.; Smith & Johnson International Logistics Services of Rahway, N.J.; Southern Cargo Logistics in Jacksonville, Fla.; and Ventana Overseas Cargo of Jamaica, N.Y.
