FMC REVIEWS EIGHT OTI APPLICATIONS

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received eight ocean transportation intermediary license applications.

   Applications for non-vessel-operating common carrier OTI licenses were submitted to the agency by Sun Ocean Logistics Corp. of Los Angeles, Simon P. Um, chief executive officer; Air-City (China) Co. in Tianuin, China, Ronnie Chum, president; and R.B.I. Shipping and Trading of Dorchester, Mass., Ralph Beckles, president.

   The FMC received applications for NVO/ocean freight forwarder licenses from NISCO Pacific of Compton, Calif., Koichi Nakanishi, president; AAA Intercontinental Cargo in Houston, Meheddin Meirkhan, sole proprietor; Global Fritz Logistics Service Co. of Torrance, Calif., Tayung Soong, president; Decheng Shipping Group in Vernon, Calif., Gordon Lee, vice president; and EZ Forwarding LLC of Hollywood, Fla., Sandra Villa, vice president.
