   Members of the Alliance for Global Food Security launched a Web site to provide information about the U.S. government's food aid programs, including Food for Peace, Food for Progress and the McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Nutrition programs, all of which play critical roles in tackling world hunger.

   The United States is the world's largest food aid donor, and the Web site will provide information about how those programs work. The Web site also includes current news and events, background on the food aid programs, as well as 'In the Field' accounts from governmental agencies, such as the U.S. Agency for International Development    and U.S. Department of Agriculture, and various nongovernmental organizations that implement food aid food programs.
