Forest has 20 years of experience in the industry, including five with Matson, eight years with APL and nine years with U.S. Lines. He started with Matson as operations manager, Southern California, and was promoted to area manager, Northern California in 1996. He was made vice president of Matson Navigation in 1998 and assumed responsibility for overseeing the company's labor relations. Last year he was promoted to vice president, area manager, Southern California.
