Former BIS enforcement chief joins D.C. law office

   Darryl W. Jackson, former assistant secretary of commerce for export enforcement at the U.S. Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security, has become a partner at the Washington law office of Kelley Drye & Warren.
   Jackson's practice will focus on export controls, antiboycott and sanctions-related matters, as well as white-collar crime and complex civil litigation, the law firm said.
   At BIS, Jackson was responsible for enforcement of U.S. laws and regulations governing the export of dual-use goods and technology, as well as antiboycott laws. He was nominated to the post by President Bush and confirmed by the Senate on Oct. 7, 2005.
   Jackson also previously served for more than a decade as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office in the District of Columbia. He rose through the ranks to become third in charge of the office as executive assistant U.S. attorney for operations.
