Former Delta, United exec joins Flexport

Neel Jones Shah, who previously served as chief operating officer of Delta Cargo and currently sits on the board of Florida-based cargo airline Amerijet, joined technology and data-driven freight forwarder and customs broker Flexport as head of airfreight.    Freight forwarder Flexport has hired the former chief operating officer of Delta Cargo, Neel Jones Shah, as its senior vice president and global head of airfreight.
   The news surfaced in a report from shipping industry news outlet The Loadstar this week. Shah also currently serves on the board of directors of Amerijet International Holdings, a Florida-based cargo airline, and is a senior advisor to The Boston Consulting Group.
   Prior to his stint at Delta Cargo, Shah served as vice president of cargo for United Airlines.
    Headquartered in San Francisco, Calif., Flexport is a technology-based freight forwarder and customs broker that has received nearly $100 million in venture capital financing since its founding in 2013.
